These courses offer a journey into the great outdoors, aimed at developing a relationship and an appreciation with nature and our surroundings. Reviving some of the forgotten and more traditional skills of shelter building, fire lighting, foraging and cooking on open fires, together with the safe use and care of various tools used.

Bushcraft courses on offer cater for the novice to the more experienced, and those who wish to combine previously learned canoe and bushcraft skills in a multi day journey.

Bushcraft Courses
Introduction to Bushcraft (1 day)

A one day course, to introduce you to some of the basics of Bushcraft. The day will include an introduction to safe use of tools, shelter building, fire lighting, cordage, basic foraging and simple cooking.

Intermediate Bushcraft (2 days)

This is two day course designed to take those existing skills a stage further. A closer look at different types of shelter with an overnight camp included. Water gathering and purification, sanitation, foraging, fire lighting, cooking, navigation, tracking and first aid.

These courses run from Friday to Sunday.

Bushcraft for Canoeists (1-2 days)

This course will take an in-depth look at the use of tarp shelters, fire lighting, Kelly Kettles and cooking, with the open canoeist in mind.

Voyageur Bushcraft (3-5 days)

Putting all your canoe and bushcraft skills to the test with an expedition by canoe, or may be you simply just want to learn more. Canoe coaching will be offered throughout, also covering the more traditional skills of portaging, tracking, polling, and sailing. Get to grips with tarp shelters and the use of Kelly Kettles together with all the other Bushcraft skills.

Locations include River Wye (South Wales) Loch Shiel (Scotland) and new during 2010 Sweden/Norway.
