'Hi Jules, thanks for a great week. In 5 days I learnt more than I have in 25 years. Loch Ness was brilliant and I wish iIcould have done it in reverse as well. Jules many thanks and I hope to paddle with you again. Cheers'

'Thank you for a fantastic weekend.  I think what made a real difference on the assessment was not just your brilliant coaching on the first day but the candidates which you provided for assessment.  They were so great to coach and responded well to everything we did with them.  It made the assessment so much easier as it was a very real situation.  Would you pass on my thanks to them.'

'I spent today on autopilot as the cognitive side of my brain was rerunning the mental video of the weekend; was it only two days it seamed longer than the previous seven days holiday; and defiantly more interesting and ‘productive; in terms of enhancing my coaching. I don’t think I have been on a more involving or educational course since my first in 1972.Thank you for running and letting me attend your course.'

I am really pleased that it will be you doing the training. I am also looking forward to the intro to moving water and poling, although I am a little concerned that I am not really quite up to such advanced techniques. Knowing that you are running the courses, however, does give me every confidence and I know that your excellent teaching style and coaching techniques will allow me to really develop my skills on open boats.
T Francis - 3 Star Canoe & Traditional Canoe Skills Introduction

I just want to say a huge thanks to you for the last couple of days of open boat coaching… they have genuinely managed to exceed my expectations. I had looked forward to the two days, but with some apprehension! I wanted to ask questions, try out things, make mistakes, feel safe and above all develop my previously rather battered confidence.

I managed all of the above thanks to Jules’ knack for always being there, guiding but never being intrusive; for his ability to see everyone within the group as an individual and work on so many levels but at the same time develop great group dynamics – we had lots of laughs together but each of us had our own learning path. Jules is an inspiration as a coach — professional, positive, calm and knowledgeable. For him, you know it’s not just a job, he is coaching because he loves what he does. For me, it’s made all the difference… having met a coach that has made me believe that I can do it!T Grundy - 3 Star Canoe Training/Assessment

An enjoyable and successful weekends canoeing was had by all. Who would have thought that undertaking your 3 star training and assessment could be fun as well as productive. From Bala Lake to the River Dee we were skilfully guided and instructed in the many skills required without even realising it was happening. It felt more like a great weekends paddle with friends. For someone who hates assessments as much as I do, I would recommend doing your training with Voyageur. Jules’ laid back yet supportive attitude works for me. Thanks Jules for getting me through my 3 star.P Rigby - 3 Star Canoe Training/Assessment

I’d like to thank you very much for the WWS&R course you ran for Manchester Canoe Club last weekend 19/20 Sept 09.

We all really enjoyed it and had fun learning and gaining very useful & common sense skills needed to safely and efficiently self rescue, rescue others and unpin boats using our throw lines, tapes and karabiners, with out the need for fancy equipment.

We all felt confident, relaxed and safe with your teaching methods as we learnt to deal with the scenarios posed to us. We came away with a clear understanding of how to go about setting up safety cover and carry it out effectively whilst keeping ourselves and others safe at all times.

Thanks again

Thank you for creating a relaxed and informative, yet professional assessment environment. I felt at ease and was able to just get on with leading a group on a weekend out boating.Thank you also for the coaching and challenges to go back and try. I thought they were added at appropriate moments and was part of what made the course feel relaxed.

"I had a challenging but non-threatening assessment. The whole experience was really positive. Thank you"
"It was a really well organised assessment, from initial contact to arranging other paddlers for us to lead, right through to the final debrief.  All I had to focus on was the assessment, fantastic" Thanks again Jules
